Who Can Register?

WVC presents new scientific knowledge and information to members of the veterinary profession and their supporting paraprofessional staff. The Conference is intended to accommodate the interests of professionals related to veterinary medicine and not to the general public. The Conference reserves the right to determine attendance and participation of non-veterinarians.

Graduate Veterinarians: Graduate veterinarians are welcome to attend the Conference regardless of their licensure status, employment status, or school of graduation. A graduate veterinarian must register as a veterinarian.

Veterinary Technicians, Administrative Staff, Practice Managers, and other: Veterinary technicians, administrative staff, and practice managers are eligible to attend the Conference. Administrative staff must be employed in a veterinary facility. Minimum registration age is 18 years for all categories.

Note: Shelter Medicine personnel, please register under the Veterinary Technician or Administrative Staff category.

DVM Students: DVM Students from accredited US and Canadian schools receive full complimentary registration.  Advance registration is available by completing your profile here.  Note, however, that you will not be registered until you show your current school ID on-site at the Special Services counter. On-site registration is also available.  Current school ID must also be presented.  Badge will then be printed.

Veterinary Technician Students: WVC provides full complimentary registrations to Veterinary Technician Students currently enrolled in an AVMA-accredited veterinary technician training program. Advance registration only. On-site and online registrations are not available. Registration must be accompanied by a letter from the Program Director confirming current enrollment by faxing (702.739.6420) or by mailing to WVC.  Registration information will be sent to all Program Directors.  Contact your Program Director after September 15, 2010.

Guest Registration Policy: Veterinarians, veterinary technicians, administrative staff, and practice managers,  may register one guest for a fee. Minimum age 18.

A guest registered by a primary registrant may attend the Guest Program and social activities, the Sunday and Tuesday night entertainment events, Exhibit Hall, and the Guest Lounge. The Guest Program and the Guest Lounge are not open to other attendees or children.

  • Guests who wish to attend the scientific sessions must register separately in the Veterinarian, Veterinary Technician, or Administrative Staff category and purchase a second badge.

Children’s Policy (children under the age of 18):

  • No badge required.
  • Must be accompanied by a registered adult.
  • May enter the Exhibit Hall and attend the Sunday and Tuesday night entertainment events if accompanied by a registered adult.
  • Children under age 18 are not permitted in any scientific sessions or in the Guest Program/Guest Lounge.

Additional Badges: Badges are not available for friends/family members; however, they may attend the Sunday and Tuesday night entertainment when accompanied by a badged registrant.
