Dr. Pat LeBlanc

Dr. Pat LeBlanc is a board-certified veterinary anesthesiologist who has also graduated from Harvard Business School’s 3-year Owner/ President Management Course.  Dr. LeBlanc served as the Hospital Director at the Veterinary Teaching Hospital of Michigan State University from 2003- 2012.  Prior to his tenure as a Hospital Director, he was the president of a 150-employee family manufacturing business.   He is currently the Chairman of a rapidly growing 280-employee automotive lighting business.  In addition to other business awards, Dr. LeBlanc was selected as the 2015 Michigan Small Business Person of the Year and the 2016 Midwest Entrepreneur of the Year in the manufacturing division.  He will bring a unique leadership perspective centering on teamwork and customer focus due to his broad-based experience in both veterinary and non-veterinary business.

Dr. Daniel Aja

Dr. Daniel Aja is the Senior Vice President of Medicine and Chief Medical Officer for Banfield since 2014. Prior to his role in Banfield, Dr. Aja was director of U.S. professional and veterinary affairs at Hill’s Pet Nutrition, where he was responsible for its U.S. veterinary division. For more than 20 years, Dr. Aja owned and directed the Cherry Bend Animal Hospital in Traverse City, Michigan, which gained American Animal Hospital Association accreditation in 1988. Additionally, he served as a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association House of Delegates, State Legislative and Regulatory Issues Task Force, and the Strategic Planning Committee. He was appointed by the governor of Michigan to the State Board of Veterinary Medicine and was elected in 2005 as president of the American Animal Hospital Association. Dr. Aja started as a general practitioner and has worked his way through the corporate structure and will bring a unique outlook of all facets of veterinary hospital development. Also, Banfield’s commitment to student debit relief, associate wellbeing and fiscal responsibility will allow Dr. Aja to help guide participants through the process of branding and managing a practice whether you are a solo practitioner or in a multi-doctor practice.

Dr. Sue Ettinger

Dr. Sue Ettinger is a board-certified veterinary oncologist who lectures extensively on leadership and oncology both nationally and internationally. Dr. Sue Cancer Vet is the co-author of the Dog Cancer Survival Guide as well as the co-host of The Pet Cancer Vet podcast on radiopetlady.com. Dr. Sue has worked in multi-doctor practices, has been a solo practitioner and everything in between. Dr. Sue brings is a passion for wellbeing and personal branding. Her Facebook site has more than 33,000 fans (www.facebook.com/DrSueCancerVet), @DrSueCancerVet on Twitter, and she can be found on YouTube helping clients deal with cancer in their pets. She provides a great perspective of not only the practical side of business, but also how to get your message to your clients, how to educate clients and colleagues and how to make a recognizable brand to help spread the word about yourself and your clinic.

Dr. Dermot Jevens

Dr. Dermot Jevens is a board-certified veterinary surgeon and a group president with Compassion First Pet Hospitals. Prior to joining Compassion First Jevens had founded and directed Upstate Veterinary Specialists in Greenville SC and Asheville NC, a hospital team which has received many national awards including 2003 Hospital of the Year and 2007 Best Specialty Hospital from Veterinary Economics and 2011 Specialty Practice of the Year from American Animal Hospital Association.  Dr. Jevens recently joined the board of directors of the American Animal Hospital Association as Secretary/Treasurer, sits on the Veterinary Advisory Board for Trupanion, has served on multiple task forces with AAHA and has served on the Board of directors of the South Carolina Association of Veterinarians.  Dr. Jevens brings a unique perspective of not just how to build a multi-doctor specialty practice, but how to make a practice one of the best in the country.
