The WVC Veterinary Technician’s Symposium (VTS) was a sell-out event for the last three years with participants not only accelerating their careers but also having a great time and making valuable connections. Due to popular demand, WVC is hosting two Veterinary Technician Symposia in 2018:

June 25–27: Behavior, Anesthesia and Diagnostics

August 6–8: Surgery, Pain Management, Rehabilitation

Cost: $345

The VTS is a unique event for Veterinary technicians to increase knowledge and sharpen skills in just three days. Offered at the world-famous Oquendo Center in Las Vegas, NV, expert instructors – using today’s most innovative instructional approaches and technology – present skill-based training in critical practice areas. Participants will have the opportunity to:

  • Experience hands-on exercises that translate immediately to new skills
  • Master and practice techniques in the superbly equipped Oquendo Center
  • Interact with a like-minded group of technicians who are serious about their careers
  • Enhance proficiency to improve patient care
  • Have FUN in the Entertainment Capital of the World

The 3-day seminar will begin with community-building activities and a baseline knowledge assessment via preliminary Elearning.

Working in small groups, participants rotate through active learning stations that enable everyone present to experience the full extent of authority-centered lectures and cooperative small group interaction. Hands-on labs round out the curriculum as individuals work with state-of-the-art equipment under the expert guidance of veteran instructors and knowledgeable equipment representatives.

What’s Included

WVC provides a hands-on CE experience across three days, which includes breakfast and lunch, and snacks and drinks for the breaks. An opening reception will be hosted Monday night at Virgil’s Real BBQ at the Linq, RSVP is required and guests are welcome for an additional $55; a $30 room credit will be provided for those staying at Harrah’s to be used for Tuesday dinner. Transportation to and from Harrah’s and the Oquendo Center is also provided.
